Punjas Announce Joint Fiji Netball Sponsorship

25 August 2015

We are delighted to announce we have once again partnered with Digicel, to renew our sponsorship of the Fiji National Netball Championships to be held this Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th of August here in Suva.

Just as we have come together at a corporate level, to ensure this competition will be the best it can be, teams from throughout the regions will gather to do battle for the right to be called the best in the land. The top sides from Suva, Nasinu, Nadi, Lautoka, Nadroga and all other districts view this as the country’s premier competition and the stepping stone to making one of the franchise teams to play in next year’s super league series.

This competition has become a nurturing ground for our future national stars and something for our juniors to aspire to.

For the past 80 years Punjas, from humble beginnings in Sigatoka, have invested heavily in the latest technology to enable us to deliver the very best quality products to our customers. In this our 80th year, we are doubling our efforts to support initiatives that help reinforce our company’s principles and philosophy of giving back to the people that have supported us over the past eight decades.

Throughout 2015 we will be marking this milestone by giving back in different ways to the community through projects and events that promote healthy living choices.

The projects we have supported this past year have included the refurbishment of the Lautoka Children’s Park, the commissioning of a new health centre and most recently our joint sponsorship of the Fiji Netball Series. By supporting netball we believe we are giving something back to the women of Fiji who have supported us by continually purchasing our products.

And just as our products nurture their families, we know that, a healthy competition such as the Fiji National Netball Championships with go a long way toward nurturing a stronger regional and national sport here in Fiji that will, in turn, allow our players to take that strength to the world stage in years to come.
