Punjas Serve Up A Feast Of Tennis – Oceania Champs

03 June 2016

Punjas have partnered with Tennis Fiji to serve up a feast of international tennis to fans from 2nd to 9th June, 2016 at the Victoria Courts and Suva Lawn Tennis courts respectively.

Tennis Fiji’s President Mr Richard Breen has predicted that, based on current form, Team New Caledonia will be one of the toughest competitors in this tournament. But he also states that the Fijian team is looking very strong so take heart Fiji and come along and back your team.

We are excited about our involvement in the Oceania Championships. We have always supported sports and activities that promote healthy lifestyles and tennis fits well with this stance. It is a game for the masses, the individuals and some teamwork in the doubles, and requires both mental and physical strengths.

It is also a game that people from all walks of life, and all age groups, can enjoy and compete in fun or serious competitions such as this one. We have the perfect climate here in Fiji to allow us to play all year round. There has been investment in tennis facilities around the country in recent times and we encourage both young and old to make use of these courts so we can see future Fiji and Oceania champions emerging.
