Punjas Cyclone Winston Relief

27 February 2016

The aftermath of Cyclone Winston finds many Fijians in need of urgent assistance – ranging from desperate situations involving the total loss of homes, clothing and possessions to; the devastation of the loss of loved ones and in some cases the family “bread winner” to; the loss of food crops and places of employment and may other scenarios in between.

It is a time for all Fijians to step up, extend their arms and compassion to those in need, and to help in whatever way you can. It will all make a difference.

It is with this community spirit in mind that Punjas have assembled countless food packs and donated them to the Prime Minister’s Cyclone Relief Fund. “We have always been community focused and supported those in need all of whom have supported us over the past eighty years and in desperate times of need we are always ready to step-up and do our part” said Mr Rajesh Punja, CEO of the Punjas Group of Companies.

“Ample food and clean water are the right of every Fijian and when disaster strikes and threatens this natural right to maintain the health and wellbeing of our family’s it is our duty to help others where we can” continued Mr Punja.

We urge every Fijian who can to do what they can to help their neighbor in this time of need so we can all rebuild our lives and living standards back to where they belong.
